This is a massive, well established site with a monthly magazine, (something as rare as hens teeth) and there is everything on here relating to all things video. From camcorder reviews, product reviews, monthly feature columns, upcoming events and competitions, and even free software and free sound effects, this site has it all.
There is also an opt-in section to get free monthly updates on camcorders, editing, computers etc. There is also a very busy forum on this site.

AMPS stands for American Motion Picture Society, home of the worlds longest-running non-commercial film festival.
This is real heavy stuff, but always good for the newby to check out and find something useful such as free tools, links to lots of external sites, talks, festivals etc.
I cannot find a forum here, possibly too great a membership to be manageable?
