Adobe 10, Canon Pro and Sony Top 5 Best Sellers Reviewed

It’s been a busy week in the camcorder reviews world, with Canon finally releasing all 4 of their new XF Professional Camcorders, Sony Handycam Top 5 Best Sellers under $500 camcorder reviews just in time for your Christmas shopping list, and Adobe 10 released as Adobe Premiere Elements 10.

The Canon HD camcorders are the very best Canon Professional camcorders available today, with the entry level Canon XF100 Professional Camcorder and it’s bigger brother the Canon XF105 Professional Camcorder, then with even higher specifications are the Canon XF300 Professional Camcorder and the Canon XF305 Professional Camcorder.

These all record in the Canon XF Codec – a 4:2:2 file-based MPEG-2 compression system using Compact Flash (CF) cards. Each of these Canon XF professional camcorders have so many features that they have their own review which you can read in detail on either the Canon USA page or the Canon UK page.

The release of Adobe Premiere Elements 10 video editing software is very welcome news for video guys like me who need a good Full HD 1920 x1080 video editor. I was fortunate to secure a new Adobe 10 copy a few weeks ago, and I must say I am very impressed with this new video editing software.

I’ve spent a lot of time editing travel footage, Top 5 new camcorder models and even PowerPoint presentations and again there is an Adobe Premiere Elements 10 video editing software review detailing the Top 5 new benefits of Adobe 10 for the PC and Mac. Read the USA Adobe 10 review here or the UK Adobe Premiere Elements 10 here.

Then for all Sony camcorder buffs, there’s a review of the best sellers of Sony Handycam video cameras, listing the Top 5 HD video cameras and standard definition Sony Handycambest sellers under $500 in 2011.

Top 5 Best Sellers of Sony Handycams

You may be surprised to know that 2 of these Top 5 Sony Handycam best sellers are standard definition, these are the Sony Handycam DCR-SX45 and Sony Handycam DCR-SX65 both of which are packed with the same features as HD video cameras but without the high cost, very similar to each other,  but the DCR-SX65 has an extra memory capacity,  a 4GB embedded Flash Memory for up to 6 hours of recording.

The other 3 Sony Handycam Top 5 best sellers are the Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20, Sony HDR-CX160 and the Sony HDR-XR160 and these are all HD camcorders. There are 4 Bloggie Touch versions, but the MHS-TS20 is the only model with a 360° panoramic video lens and the only model offered in 2 colours, Black/Silver.

Recording directly to 1920×1080 HD MP4 for best video quality and taking class leading 12.8MP stills, the MHS-TS20 HD camcorder has 8GB of built-in flash memory for recording up to 4 hours of HD video, a 3″ touch screen LCD, SteadyShot image stabilization technology and 4x digital zoom lens with auto-macro mode.

The Sony HDR-CX160 HD Video Camera and the Sony HDR-XR160 Handycam Video Camera complete the best sellers Top 5 list of the Sony Handycam, again, both Full HD and similar in features to each other except that the Sony HDR-CX160 has 16GB of embedded Flash Memory but the Sony HDR-XR160 has a 160GB hard disc drive for up to 54 hours of HD recording, 5.1ch Surround microphone for vivid dynamic surround sound and Clear Phase stereo speakers for true and dynamic sound. I don’t think any other camcorder can beat the features of the Sony HDR-XR160 for under $500. Here are the links to the US Sony Handycam video cameras and the UK Sony Camcorders.

So with Christmas fast approaching, I hope this gives you some ideas of what to include on your Christmas List.

If like me you are battling with your video editing software to edit Full HD video, then I can personally recommend Adobe Premiere Elements 10, or treat yourself to a new camcorder for gigs, check out the new Canon Professional camcorders, or if it’s a new consumer camcorder packed with features, check out my videos of each of the Sony Handycam Top 5 Best Sellers under $500 camcorder reviews on Hub Pages
