After a hectic last minute sales rush at the end on the year, and quickly followed by the show in Las Vegas when all the new camcorders for 2012 were announced, I just finished my reflection on how camcorder sales faired in the teeth of this recession, and the Canon Vixia HF R21 stood out in sales as well as features.

It’s good to see a camcorder such as the Canon Vixia HF R21 getting the recognition it truly deserves. This camcorder you may remember was a direct replacement to the popular Canon Vixia HF R100, and camcorder buffs and families alike have all bought this new model in their droves.

Canon Vixia HF R21 Features

Just to remind you of some of the many features of the Canon Vixia HF R21, it is packed with features such as the 32GB Internal Flash Memory with eye-fi flash memory, Full HD 1080p AVCHD 1920 x 1080 resolution at 24Mbps, CMOS sensor with tele macro and face detection, Pre-Record and Relay Recording and a touch panel LCD screen with a Level Marker feature.

It seems like we cannot get enough storage space on our camcorders, as the Canon Vixia HF R21 has 32GB of Internal Flash Memory as well as two SD Card Slots each capable of holding another 32GB each which is some serious memory capacity.

At the same time as introducing this Canon Vixia HF R21, the cheaper VIXIA HF R20 with an 8GB internal flash drive and the cheaper still VIXIA HF R200 with no internal memory but only Dual SD Card Slots were introduced, and yet the dearest model of the 3, the Vixia HF R21 is the clear favorite of the American public.

The microphone terminal with manual audio level control and a headphone terminal providing exceptional audio adaptability could have played a part as well as the massive memory storage, and of course there are dozens of other features as standard in the Canon Vixia HF R21 which I know you would find hard to match in any other brand for the low price asked for this marvel.
